Holly Schenk Creates Caricatures at Smithville's 2009 Flea Market

KC Studio Magazine Covers North Bridge Gallery

KC Studio Magazine, a local publication that covers cinematic, performing and visual arts, featured North Bridge Gallery in its January/February 2009 issue. The article is posted online and appears on pages 30 and 31.

North Bridge Gallery Featured on KUDL's Late Afternoon Show

North Bridge Gallery was recently featured on KUDL FM! Tanna Guthrie on the Late Afternoon Show mentioned North Bridge Gallery as one of the metropolitan area's sources for Christmas gifts under $20. In spite of the fact that we carry a lot of expensive works by world-renowned artists, we also carry a selection of more that forty (count 'em -- 40!) useful, though artistic, gifts that cost less than $20. If you want, you can spend upwards of $4000 on a single work of art that we carry. But why not come in and browse our affordable wares while taking a look at items fashioned by world famous artists? And while you're here, have lunch or dinner at one of Smithville's excellent dining spots. Roam the shops and taverns of a historic locale that prides itself on maintaining a small-town atmosphere that preserves the feel of a by-gone era.

North Bridge Gallery Opens Its Doors

North Bridge Gallery opened its doors on October 10, 2008, in time for Smithville's fall festival. Two days earlier Smithville's Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony in front of the shop. About thirty people were in attendance. Besides Chamber of Commerce members, family members and friends of the owners were in attendance.

Articles about the gallery have appeared in The Kansas City Star and the Smithville Herald. Early next year KC Studio magazine will feature an interview with the owners. At Home in the Northland will also publish an article about North Bridge Gallery.

It's estimated that more than 500 people visited the gallery during the fall festival. During the two days of the festival about a thousand dollars worth of art and gifts were purchased. The most popular items were bottle toppers created by Yardbirds, LLC. Yardbirds specializes in metal art.

A variety of styles and types of art are carried and displayed by North Bridge Gallery. Take a look at our virtual tour of the store and check out the various imaginative creations that are on hand. New items arrive almost daily.

We're gearing up for our grand opening, to coincide with the Smithville Merchants' Open House during the weekend of November 21st. Please pay us a visit. You won't be sorry. Even if you don't intend to buy anything, we have a lot of interesting items on display. You'll be surprised at the variety of shops and restaurants in downtown Smithville.

Hope to see you soon!
