North Bridge gallery came from the shared dream of three friends. The idea was to have a gallery where not only could they display their own art, but where other artists would be able to display and sell their own unique artistic expressions. Regina, Joyce and Wayne have been friends for several years, and have dreamed about the day when they might open up their own gallery. The excitement never wanes, the plans have come together, and more art arrives every day. When these friends look into the once empty space that is now North Bridge Gallery, they see their dream realized.
North Bridge Gallery strives to display and sell wonderful, unique artistic expressions that will be a delightful addition to your own collection, or that will make a very special gift for someone. Many of the items for sale are from area artists, but there are items from artists around the world.
A committee was developed by this group to review art work and to determine if it fits the vision that these three stated they wanted for their gallery. Artists may submit an application for consideration. Once the committee has approved the work the artist will be asked to meet with the owners.
When the three friends were asked what they hoped to get out of this adventure, they all stated that their focus was to add to the community of Smithville, to contribute to its progress, and to have fun. “We want others to enjoy art, and look to the many artists out there as a valuable resource for enjoyment and gifts. Artists are very gifted people and the public often miss out on the value of a handcrafted item that expresses the very soul of a person. We are hoping that when people walk into our gallery they will feel the love we have for people, the love we have for God-given talent, the love we have for the community, and the love we have for life.”
